CMAC Neutralizes Unexploded Thai Suicide Drone at Preah Vihear Temple
PHNOM PENH, 20 June 2026 — Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) Director General Heng Ratana said CMAC experts on 18 June 2026 successfully neutralized an unexploded one-way attack drone (suicide drone) left behind by Thai forces at the Preah Vihear Temple area.
According to Heng Ratana, the drone was safely disposed of by CMAC’s explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team, describing it as a remnant of the recent conflict involving Thai forces in the area.
