Thai Royals to Attend Swedish King’s 80th Birthday
BANGKOK, April 28, 2026 — Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will travel to Sweden this week to attend celebrations marking the 80th birthday of King Carl XVI Gustaf, the royal household said.
The visit, scheduled from April 29 to May 2, comes at the invitation of the Swedish monarch, according to a statement from Thailand’s Bureau of the Royal Household.
The Thai royals are expected to join heads of state and members of royal families from around the world at official events in Stockholm, including ceremonies and a formal dinner at the Royal Palace.
They are scheduled to return to Bangkok on May 2, the statement said.
