PHNOM PENH, April 28, 2026 — Cambodia has facilitated a visit by foreign military attachés to observe conditions along the Cambodia–Thailand border, as part of efforts to promote transparency and monitor a ceasefire agreement, officials said.

The Ministry of National Defence said the visit took place on Tuesday in the Ou Phluk Damrei area of Pursat province under the Second Annual Tour of the Military Attachés Corps in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia welcomed participation from friendly countries, allowing direct observation of the border situation to ensure transparency, credibility and accuracy in monitoring the ceasefire.

The government reiterated its commitment to fully implementing agreements reached with Thailand, including the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) on Dec. 27, 2025, and the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement signed on Oct. 26, 2025.

Officials said the efforts are aimed at supporting recovery, restoring normalcy and ensuring long-term peace and stability along the shared border.
