CHON BURI, April 16, 2026 — A Thai woman has surrendered to police after allegedly stabbing a Polish man during a dispute in Sattahip district, authorities said.

The suspect, identified as Jindaporn, 51, turned herself in late on Wednesday following negotiations with local officials and police near her residence.

The incident involved a 54-year-old Polish man who sustained a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital. Authorities said he is no longer in critical condition.

Police said the altercation occurred earlier in the day near Ban Khao Chi Chan School, reportedly stemming from a dispute between the two parties while walking their dogs.

According to the suspect, the situation escalated after the man’s dog allegedly attempted to bite her pet, followed by a confrontation involving her husband. She claimed she acted in self-defence.

However, police said the victim’s account differs, and investigators are working to clarify the sequence of events.

Authorities plan to reconstruct the incident and will take a full statement from the injured man once his condition allows.

The case remains under investigation, with officials gathering evidence and witness testimonies. Police have not yet confirmed formal charges as legal proceedings will depend on the findings.
