PHNOM PENH, 6 July 2026 – French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Laurent Saint-Martin will visit Cambodia on 9-10 July to strengthen economic relations between France and Cambodia and promote greater French investment in the Kingdom, according to the French Embassy in Cambodia.

The embassy said the visit follows a series of high-level bilateral engagements aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries. It also forms part of preparations for the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Cambodia in November 2026.

During his visit, the French minister is scheduled to hold meetings with several senior Cambodian officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth, Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul, Minister of Mines and Energy Keo Rottanak, and Minister of Health Chheang Ra.

The discussions are expected to focus on expanding trade and investment cooperation, strengthening economic partnerships and exploring new opportunities for French businesses in Cambodia.

The minister will also meet members of the French business community in Cambodia, which comprises a network of around 200 companies operating across various sectors.

According to the embassy, a joint press conference in French and Khmer will be held at the French Embassy on 10 July following the conclusion of the visit.
