PHNOM PENH, April 25, 2026 — Cambodia has more than 90,000 job vacancies available nationwide for former migrant workers returning from Thailand, the Labour Ministry said, as authorities seek to absorb returnees into the domestic workforce.

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training said 91,891 positions were available as of April 24 across Phnom Penh and the provinces, covering key sectors including agriculture, industry and services.

The announcement comes as Cambodia looks to provide employment opportunities for returning workers and other job seekers amid ongoing regional labour mobility.

The ministry said applicants could access detailed job listings, including company names, factory locations and preferred sectors, through official employment brochures recently released.

Returning workers and job seekers can also contact the ministry’s 1297 hotline for assistance in matching with employers, it said.

Cambodia has long relied on overseas labour markets, particularly neighbouring Thailand, where large numbers of Cambodians work in construction, agriculture, fisheries and service industries.

Officials have increasingly promoted domestic employment and vocational training as part of broader efforts to strengthen the local labour market and reduce dependence on migration.
