BEIJING, 16 July 2026 — China’s Yuanda Group has expressed interest in investing in Cambodia’s education, agriculture and digital technology sectors, citing the country’s rapid development and growing investment potential.

The investment proposal was discussed during a meeting on 15 July between Prime Minister Hun Manet and Zheng Mingzhou, Director of Yuanda Group, on the sidelines of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in China.

During the meeting, Zheng outlined the company’s business operations, noting that Yuanda has established long-term partnerships with government agencies, state-owned enterprises and universities in China and abroad. He said the company is currently focusing its investments on education, agriculture, manufacturing and digital technology.

Zheng said Cambodia’s strong economic development and future growth prospects have encouraged the company to explore investment opportunities, particularly in the education, agriculture and digital technology sectors.

Hun Manet welcomed the company’s interest, noting that all three sectors are among the Cambodian government’s key development priorities. He said the government has introduced a range of policies and support mechanisms to encourage investment and accelerate growth in these strategic industries.

The Prime Minister encouraged Yuanda Group to conduct a working visit to Cambodia and continue discussions with relevant ministries and institutions to identify concrete investment opportunities and advance potential projects.
