Yunnan, China, 28 December 2025 — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, held a bilateral working meeting this morning with H.E. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, in Yunnan Province, China.

The high-level diplomatic engagement focused on further strengthening the comprehensive cooperation and robust strategic partnership between Cambodia and China, reaffirming the shared commitment of both countries to advancing peace, security, stability, and sustainable development at the regional and global levels.

The two foreign ministers exchanged views on deepening bilateral relations across political, diplomatic, and strategic dimensions, underscoring the enduring friendship and close coordination between Phnom Penh and Beijing.

The meeting took place as H.E. Prak Sokhonn is in Yunnan to participate in the Trilateral Meeting between Cambodia, Thailand, and China, scheduled from 28 to 29 December 2025, which aims to discuss the latest developments along the Cambodia–Thailand border and to support ongoing efforts toward de-escalation, dialogue, and lasting peace.

Cambodia reiterated its appreciation for China’s constructive and facilitative role in promoting peaceful dialogue, regional stability, and confidence-building among the concerned parties.
