Yunnan, 29 December 2025 — His Excellency Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated today in a trilateral meeting with His Excellency Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and His Excellency Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.

The meeting, convened in Yunnan Province, reflected the shared commitment of the three countries to constructive dialogue, regional stability, and the peaceful management of regional issues. The trilateral engagement underscored China’s continued facilitative role and the determination of Cambodia and Thailand to address matters of mutual concern through diplomatic channels and cooperative mechanisms.

Participants reaffirmed the importance of peace, restraint, and adherence to international law, while emphasizing the value of dialogue and confidence-building measures in maintaining stability and fostering mutual trust. The meeting highlighted the role of diplomacy in supporting ongoing efforts toward de-escalation and the promotion of long-term peace and cooperation in the region.

The Kingdom of Cambodia reiterated its consistent position in favor of peaceful solutions, respect for sovereignty, and the strengthening of friendly relations with neighboring countries and strategic partners, in line with the principles of the ASEAN Charter and the Charter of the United Nations.
