PHNOM PENH, May 3, 2026 — Cambodia has secured a strong presence in Asia’s top tourism rankings for 2026, with four major attractions listed among the region’s 25 most popular destinations, according to Tripadvisor’s latest Travelers’ Choice Awards.

Leading the country’s entries, Angkor Wat ranked second overall in Asia, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

Other Cambodian sites featured in the ranking include Bayon Temple (13th), Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (20th), and Ta Prohm (23rd).

The strong showing highlights Cambodia’s diverse tourism appeal, spanning ancient heritage, architectural significance and modern historical remembrance.

Across the region, Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay took the top spot, followed by Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and India’s Taj Mahal.

Tourism observers say Cambodia’s continued recognition reflects growing global interest in cultural and heritage tourism, as well as sustained efforts to promote its historical sites on the international stage.

Officials have identified tourism as a key pillar of economic growth, with iconic destinations such as Angkor Wat serving as major drivers of international visitor arrivals and national branding.
