Cambodia Exports Over Half a Million Tonnes of Rice in Early 2026
PHNOM PENH, June 5, 2026 — Cambodia exported 568,912 tonnes of milled rice during the first five months of 2026, generating revenue of US$327 million, according to the Cambodia Rice Federation.
The exports were shipped by 61 rice-exporting companies to 63 international destinations. Europe remained one of the largest markets, with 154,254 tonnes exported to 31 European countries, generating US$105.12 million in revenue.
Exports to China and Hong Kong totalled 162,125 tonnes, worth US$94.92 million, while shipments to five ASEAN countries reached 208,593 tonnes, earning US$87.32 million.
Cambodia also exported 43,940 tonnes of rice to 24 other destinations, including countries in Africa, the Middle East, North America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, generating US$40.07 million.
Fragrant rice remained the dominant export category, accounting for 59.2% of total shipments. Long-grain white rice represented 22.28%, broken rice 15.58%, parboiled rice 1.72%, organic rice 1.04% and other rice varieties 0.18%.
In addition to milled rice exports, Cambodia exported 2.75 million tonnes of wet paddy rice during the January-May period, with an estimated value of US$591.41 million, the federation said.
